Network Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our growing network team and help maintain, improve, and scale IPXO’s global network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with our Technical Lead, manage connectivity across multiple data centers, troubleshoot network issues, and drive automation to make our operations more efficient and reliable.

IPXO is a global SaaS platform enabling businesses to manage IP resources, monitor reputation, geolocation, and routing, and access IPv4 leasing and monetization services through one platform. Working with businesses and network operators worldwide, IPXO supports more efficient IP resource management while promoting transparency and responsible use of Internet Protocol resources. • Manage and troubleshoot BGP connectivity with ISPs and transit providers across multiple data centers.
• Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and Linux-based networking infrastructure.
• Deploy new network sites, including BGP sessions, switching, routing, and host networking.
• Coordinate remote data-center operations, including installations, cabling, cross-connects, and hardware changes.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain reliable network operations.
• Automate network configurations, deployments, and daily operations using Python, Ansible, Git, and IPAM tools.
• Maintain network documentation, validate RPKI/IRR configurations, and follow operational procedures.
• Participate in a compensated on-call rotation, providing first-line support for network alerts and incidents.
• Work occasional later shifts to collaborate with US-based providers.

• 3+ years of network engineering or operations experience in ISP, hosting, CDN, or data-center environments.
• Hands-on BGP experience, including session configuration, prefix filtering, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux networking knowledge (iproute2, netplan, NAT, nftables/iptables).
• Experience with data-center networking, including VLANs, LACP, and cross-connects.
• Practical experience with network automation using Python, Ansible (or similar tools), and Git.
• Experience coordinating with ISPs, colocation providers, and data-center remote hands.
• Ability to troubleshoot network incidents, document changes, and follow operational procedures.
• Experience using AI tools in daily work, with the ability to validate AI-generated configurations before applying changes.
• Good written and spoken English.

• Flexibility and willingness to work during evening and nighttime hours, including participation in an on-call rotation and adjustments to working schedules when required.

  
   
  
   Nice to have:
• Experience with Arista EOS, Extreme SLX-OS, Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS-XR, or Nokia SR OS.
• Knowledge of network automation tools such as NetBox, Terraform, NETCONF/gNMI, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with BGP on Linux (FRR, BIRD, GoBGP).
• Familiarity with RPKI/IRR validation, Prometheus, Grafana, or sFlow/NetFlow.
• Experience working with US data centers and network providers.
