Senior Network Engineer — Technical Lead

We’re building a dedicated network team and looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Technical Lead to take ownership of our network architecture, lead technical decisions, and mentor engineers. You’ll collaborate with DevOps/SRE, Support, and Product teams to ensure a reliable, scalable, and efficient global network.

• Own and develop IPXO’s global network architecture, including the transition to a router + switch topology.
• Define BGP routing policies, upstream connectivity, redundancy, and network capacity planning.
• Lead the technical evaluation and onboarding of ISPs, transit, and colocation providers.
• Plan and coordinate remote data-center operations, including installations, cross-connects, and hardware changes.
• Lead technical decisions, review network changes, and act as the main technical escalation during incidents.
• Mentor engineers and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Drive network automation, configuration management, and monitoring improvements using Python, Ansible, Git, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Participate in a compensated on-call rotation, providing first-line support for network alerts and incidents.
• Work occasional later shifts to collaborate with US-based providers.

• 5+ years of network engineering experience in ISP, CDN, hosting, or large multi-site environments.
• Strong BGP expertise, including eBGP/iBGP, routing policies, communities, route reflection, RPKI, and traffic engineering.
• Hands-on experience with router platforms (Arista, Juniper, Cisco, or Nokia) and data-center switching.
• Experience deploying and managing network infrastructure across multiple sites, including remote ISP connectivity and colocation operations.
• Strong Linux networking knowledge (iproute2, policy routing, NAT, nftables/iptables).
• Experience with network troubleshooting, incident management, and technical documentation.
• Ability to mentor engineers and take ownership of technical decisions.
• Experience using AI tools in daily work, with the ability to critically validate AI-generated configurations and designs.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Flexibility and willingness to work during evening and nighttime hours, including participation in an on-call rotation and adjustments to working schedules when required.
  
  
  Nice to have:
• Experience with Arista EOS, Extreme SLX-OS, or BGP on Linux (FRR, BIRD, GoBGP).
• Knowledge of DDoS mitigation, anycast, MPLS, or segment routing.
• Network automation experience with Python, Ansible, NetBox, or NETCONF/gNMI.
• Previous technical or people leadership experience.
